Defend Marriage and Family Conference
hosted by United Families International
MESA, AZ - Popular television and radio talk show host Sean
Hannity, co-host of the nightly "Hannity & Colmes"
television program, is coming to Mesa, AZ Nov. 21-22 to
headline The Defend Marriage and Family Conference. United
Families International (UFI), a U.N.-accredited, international
organization devoted to strengthening the family, is hosting
the conference, in association with other pro-family
organizations. Allan Carlson, President of the Howard Center
for Family, Religion and Society will also be a featured
speaker at the conference.
UFI president Sharon Slater said, "Marriage, the glue
that cements the family together is in peril; under attack
from numerous sources. We are launching a campaign to preserve
and defend marriage as an essential government-sanctioned
foundation for families."
The theme of the conference is, "As marriage goes, so
goes the children, so goes the nation, so goes the
world." At the conference, entertainers, celebrities,
sports figures, politicians and community leaders will
publicly launch the Defend Marriage and Family Campaign, a
national effort to define marriage as a relationship between a
man and a woman. Renowned experts on marriage and family
issues will deliver addresses to educate attendees from across
the United States and equip them with the information
necessary to defend marriage in their respective states.
The Defend Marriage and Family Conference is an official
World Congress of Families USA event. The venue for the
conference is Centennial Hall in Mesa. Registration for the
conference will begin at 7 a.m. with the conference starting
at 8 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. United Families International
will announce further details, including the full list of
participants, speakers and entertainers, at a later date.
