JOB DESCRIPTION:
MANAGING DIRECTOR
WORLD CONGRESS OF FAMILIES
This person serves as the chief
operating officer of the World Congress of Families (WCF) project. Specific
tasks include:
• Aggressively promoting the WCF
among “Partners” and other NGO’s around the globe
• Drafting Requests for Proposals for
future WCF sessions
• Assisting “bidding” groups in the
preparation of their proposal
• Planning and organizing all
Management, Selection and Planning committee sessions
• Serving as the chief WCF liaison
with the “international planning” and “local organizing” committees of pending
WCF sessions
• Promoting the WCF through news
releases and media interviews
• Maintaining and enhancing the WCF
website
• Publishing the monthly WCF
electronic newsletter
• Raising the funds needed to meet
the WCF annual budget, including the preparation of grant proposals for
foundation, corporate, and individual funding and making visits to donors
• Drafting the annual WCF operating
budget and insuring that spending stays within budget
• Performing other tasks necessary to
the success of the WCF program
This person will report to the
International Secretary of the WCF
